Industrial Fabrication
Shaping, forming, cutting, rolling and welding metal is what we do.
Our welding operations are CWB certified. We do work ranging from small welding projects for walk-in customers to industrial steel structures for large corporations.
SMS employs welding technicians who are CWB-qualified for structural carbon steel. In addition to carbon steel, we also weld stainless and aluminum. An experienced CWB welding supervisor performs in-process inspections as required by our clients. Complete QA turn-around packages are also delivered upon request.
Our fabrication facility is able to handle large welding projects with its two 14' x 14' overhead doors and two 5-ton overhead cranes.
SMS has the following equipment to complement our welding operations:
Fully programmable CNC cutting table (for plate size up to 8' x 10' and 6" thick),
Band and horizontal arm saws,
Shear ( 10' x 1/2" thick material),
175-ton press brake (10' x 3/8" thick material),
Plate roller (up to 8' wide x 3/8" thick plate).
The company does a lot of custom steel fabrication of light, medium, and heavy structures and miscellanies metals including pipe work, bins, hoppers, conveyor systems, cat walks, stairs, and pretty much anything you can think of.
